December 12, 2012

The 12 Cities Project recently released its Final Report and its findings have been highlighted on

Since 2012, JSI has conducted a comprehensive, qualitative evaluation of the 12 Cities Project, assessing the coordination, collaboration, and integration (CCI) of federally-funded HIV services in the 12 U.S. districts most affected by HIV. The assessment is meant to inform decision making for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in their execution of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. JSI's evaluation of the 12 Cities Project was based on interviews conducted with nearly 300 people, including program administrators, service providers, community leaders, and clients.

The evaluation report revealed areas of strengths and weaknesses in the overall CCI of surveyed programs, and the findings are already being used to guide implementation of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy in the 12 targeted districts and beyond.
