JSI at #ICFP2018

November 6, 2018

Family planning saves lives and empowers women to improve their family’s health, education, and financial stability. From strengthening supply chain to delivering items to remote health posts, training health workers in contraceptive technologies and streamlining clinic services, JSI is dedicated to ensuring women have the access to the family planning methods that meet their needs.

At the 2018 International Conference on Family Planning, JSI staff updated colleagues on recent learnings in family planning, from supply chain to new product introduction, through more than a dozen presentations and posters.

Stop by booth #73 to meet JSI staff, and learn more about our total market approach to family planning and how our work supports reproductive health policies and promotes the integration of family planning with other basic health services.

JSI also co-sponsored two side events:

Wednesday, 14 November, 7AM: Closing the Gap: Addressing Family Planning at the Community Level. With opening speaker former Somaliland First Lady Edna Adan, JSI’s Yvette Ribaira will join colleagues from the UN Foundation and Living Goods to explore ways to increase access to family planning by strengthening community health systems.

Later on Wednesday, at 6PM, JSI co-hosts a side panel that looks at how population, environment, and cevelopment activities are contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. Join JSI, PRB, the Population Council, and the JHU Center for Communication Programs at People and Our Planet: harnessing innovative partnerships across generations.
