Sharing Lessons Learned from Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Programs
November 1, 2017
On Sunday, October 15th, 2017, JSI sponsored a satellite symposium at the IUNS 21st International Congress of Nutrition in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The symposium, entitled “Better Together: Lessons Learned from Multi-Sectoral Implementation of Nutrition Programs,” convened global experts to share results, insights, and lessons from a range of nutrition implementation efforts.
Renowned experts Dr. Agnes Guyon (JSI), Heather Danton (JSI), Dr. Francesco Branca (World Health Organization), and Dr. Jennifer Nielsen (Helen Keller International (HKI)) presented the latest technical information, trends, and lessons for nutrition implementation within and across sectors including nutrition-sensitive agriculture, nutrition within the health sector, and water, sanitation, and hygiene in nutrition programs.
Following their presentations, experts from HKI, JSI, The Manoff Group, and Save the Children led participants in breakout discussions to share tools and experiences from nutrition programs around the world.
