MexicoIn 1993, JSI worked in Mexico with the Resources for Child Health (REACH) project to analyze systems and train medical personnel in the treatment of acute respiratory infections, a leading cause of child mortality in the country. JSI has also worked to strengthen in-country logistics systems and continues to be a leader in health system innovation and reform in Mexico, providing technical assistance and strategic planning through the AIDSTAR-One initiative and managing the LIVESTRONG Foundation’s Comparte Tu Historia ("Share your Story") project, a program that raises cancer awareness through culturally relevant messaging.
JSI is implementing the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign in Mexico to reduce stigma associated with cancer through culturally-relevant and targeted messaging, while raising awareness of the global cancer burden.
The Comparte Tu Historia project hosts a record-breaking World Cancer Day event as part of its initiative to raise cancer awareness in Mexico.
AIDSTAR-One synthesized and disseminated scientific research and models of successful program implementation in all areas of HIV, and provided targeted technical assistance to build effective, sustainable programs.
