JSI has joined #GivingTuesdayNow with its donations to local food banks in the nine states where it has offices; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maine, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington, DC. JSI has a long tradition of supporting the communities where they work, especially in the times of COVID-19.

“The need is now and urgent,” said Joel Lamstein, JSI’s founder and president. “We work in these communities and want to provide the support we can to people who are struggling in this difficult time.”

Amy Cullum, JSI senior consultant working in emergency preparedness said, “I am so honored to be working with these people and in this response. I am so grateful to JSI for supporting this effort and all of our work for all these years.”

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of unity taking place on May 5, 2020, in emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it is typically held every year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesdayNow gives the opportunity to come together as a global community as we all tackle this threat. It emphasizes getting involved in your own community to spread generosity, citizen engagement, and support nonprofits around the world.
