The Colorado Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting and Prevention (COAPPP) and then Colorado Youth Matter (CYM) with a name change received a five-year CDC capacity building grant to provide assistance to local CBOs in integrating science-based adolescent pregnancy and STD prevention programming to the state. JSI was contracted by CYM to conduct a needs assessment of state-wide CBOs, create a constituent database, gather epidemiology data, complete a readiness assessment, and evaluate their efforts over all five years of the project. Data reports were submitted which helped this organization become the authority in prevention of teen pregnancy and STIs.
