The National HIV/AIDS Strategy goal to reduce HIV-related health disparities includes increasing the number of HIV diagnosed gay and bisexual men/ Blacks/ Latinos with undetectable viral load by 20%. Adherence to medication is central to accomplishing that goal. JSI was contracted to develop and deliver training-of-trainers webinars on four Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-endorsed HIV medication adherence strategies: SMART Couples, Partnership for Health Medication Adherence, Peer Support and HEART.

JSI produced "Every Dose, Every Day" (EDED) a web-based program to inform clinical providers and community partners about the four strategies. The program provided an overview of HIV medication adherence; accompanying e-learning modules focused on the theory underlying each of the above-listed strategies, videotaped role-modeling scenarios, implementation guidance, and educational and promotional materials for consumers.

JSI conducted webinars to prepare trainers and other providers of technical assistance to assist HIV clinics and community based organizations to implement the programs in their settings. For this project, JSI’s scope of work included initial research, development of content in consultation with CDC and ICF International, and delivery of the webinars.
