In anticipation of the impacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), such as Medicaid expansion and the implementation of the Health Benefit Exchange which will be effective in 2014, it is important for different counties and cities to understand what services are available and are needed.

Clear Creek County has contracted with JSI to conduct a feasibility study to establish primary care services in Idaho Springs. The study will include both quantitative data collection/analyses, and qualitative community input in addition to the impact of the components of the ACA.

The study will include market analysis, supply and demand assessment, options for primary care service delivery, and cost benefit analyses. The study will help guide Clear Creek County on whether to establish primary care services in Idaho Springs.
