Development and use of the Lives Saved Tool (LiST): a model to estimate the impact of scaling up proven interventions on maternal, neonatal and child mortality

Photo uploaded by Sang YoonThe USAID-funded Maternal & Child Health Integrated program is designed to accelerate progress toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in USAID's 30 maternal and child health priority countries over five years. To this end, JSI directs the project in determining which interventions will have the greatest impact on each population, and builds capacity at a community level to maintain services and commodity provision after project completion.

Here, experts from MCHIP respond to articles published in The International Journal of Epidemiology on the capacity of the Lives Saved Tool in an editorial outlining ways in which use of the LiST tool may be optimized.
