Challenges in Health Transformation: Final Report of the Sudan Health Transformation Project (SHTP)
The Sudan Health Transformation Project (SHTP) was a five-year bilateral project supporting the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project was implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) in collaboration with the Government of Southern Sudan, Ministry of Health (GoSS/MoH), along with nine international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and 16 Sudanese (or local) NGOs (SNGOs). The project began in April 2004 and was completed in June 2009. This document is the project's final report, summarizing the project's activities, achievements, experiences, and lessons learned over its five years of implementation in a post-conflict, transitional setting.
