JSI Vice President, Theo Lippeveld, Profiled in Education for Health

Dr. Theo Lippeveld, Vice President for JSI's International Health Division, is profiled in the current issue of Education for Health. The profile reviews Dr. Lippeveld's history of work in public health and focuses on health information systems and their importance in developing strong and effective health services.

Dr. Lippeveld is the author of "Design and Implementation of Health Information Systems in Developing Countries," published in 2000, which still serves as the textbook for the development of health information systems in developing countries.

JSI has been working in the United States and internationally with Ministries of Health to help strengthen their routine health information systems for more than a dozen years.

Dr. Lippeveld is a founder and the director of the the Routine Health Information Network, known as RHINO, which was launched in 2001.
