Webinar June 27th: Community-based Violence Prevention

June 7, 2017

Join JSI on June 27th 11 am - 12 pm PT for a free webinar:

Collaborating with Health Plans to Reduce Costs through Community-based Violence Prevention: The MSIP Approach

There is a robust discussion underway in health circles about how to better address psychosocial factors shaping health outside clinic walls. JSI is working with Blue Shield of California Foundation to build a “Business Case” for health system investment in response to the needs of survivors of domestic violence (DV) and trauma. As part of this effort, JSI has identified programs that are testing innovative approaches, including the Marketplace Solutions and Incentives Project (MSIP).

MSIP has developed a health plan-funded approach to mitigate interpersonal and self-violence, and subsequent health care use among vulnerable plan members.

On this webinar, we will discuss MSIP’s community-based, personalized intervention; their value proposition and value-based contracting model; and health and cost results from the initial program cohorts.

Panelists will include:

  • Steve Zaleznick, CEO, Home Front Security Benefits (HFSB); founder, MSIP
  • Steve Ramsland, CEO, Catalyst Health Resources LLC; development officer, MSIP
  • Gary Ivory, Southwest President and National Director of Program Development, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.
  • Moderator: Jeremy Cantor, Senior Consultant, JSI
