The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a major financing institution in the fight against these diseases. The Global Fund operates a Procurement Support Service for its Principal Recipients, with the Pooled Procurement Mechanism (previously known as Voluntary Pooled Procurement or VPP) aimed at ensuring a cost-effective and efficient procurement process.

In 2009 and again in 2013, the Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PFSCM) has been a contract awardee of the Pooled Procurement Mechanism (PPM) of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. PFSCM procures and delivers ‘core’ products for PPM, including HIV and malaria medicines, test kits and related commodities. JSI is a managing partner of PFSCM.
