I am responsible for all the logistics for today's conference on maternal mortality here in Denver. JSI has planned this conference for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

I arrive early to set up the registration area, and by eight in the morning all 170 participants of the Studies in Maternal and Perinatal Mortality conference have checked in. These nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals in Colorado listen to doctors on the panel discuss issues such as hemorrhage, amniotic fluid embolism, and VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).

At the end of the day, there is a rush for the continuing education certificates. Everything goes as planned, and the Colorado Department of Health is very pleased with JSI's ability to manage their conference. They immediately ask us to run the same program next year

This was a great group of people to work with. I truly enjoyed planning the conference and being able to sit in on a few of the topics. The doctors and nurses on the panel were extremely knowledgeable about their material. I look forward to planning next year's meeting and hope that it will be an even bigger success
