AIDSTAR IQC - AIDS Support and Technical Assistance Resources Program

The AIDS Support and Technical Resources (AIDSTAR) mechanism is an indefinite quantity contract (IQC) managed out of the Office of HIV/AIDS in USAID's Bureau for Global Health. This is a five year contract (July 2007 - June 2012), with an overall ceiling price of $500 million, that promotes competitive bids. Through the AIDSTAR mechanism U.S. Government (USG) country teams, Missions, and other USG agencies working with contractors like JSI are provided with long- or short-term technical assistance in:
- Implementing HIV/AIDS support in behavior change; clinical and community-based services; care for orphans and vulnerable children; monitoring and evaluation; and health systems strengthening
- Coordinating scale-up and increase host country capacity to sustain HIV/AIDS initiatives
- Conducting and overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting activities
- Documenting and disseminating successful innovative approaches and sustainable models; evidence-based best practices and lessons learned
