Description

The Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PFSCM) brings together multiple private sector and non-governmental organizations that are among the most trusted names in supply chain management and international public health and development in the world. PFSCM has been recognized internationally for its work to save lives through stronger public health supply chains; the partnership won two supply chain distinction awards from the European Supply Chain and Logistics Summit in 2010 and was a finalist in the 2012 Supply Chain Innovation Award Competition sponsored by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and SupplyChainBrain.

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a major financing institution in the fight against these diseases in 140 countries. The Global Fund selected PFSCM to be its primary Procurement Agent for Global Fund principal recipients, under its Pooled Procurement Mechanism aimed at ensuring a cost-effective and efficient procurement process that meets all the Global Fund standards for a Procurement Agent. This service provides support to countries to resolve procurement bottlenecks and supply chain management challenges and to facilitate timely access to pharmaceuticals and other health products.

In addition, PFSCM implements other supply chain management projects with other client/donors including the Malaria Consortium and several developing country governments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Client Account Manager is a member of the Client Account Management unit and is responsible for aligning PFSCM’s internal organizational efforts to ensure continuous value creation to our clients’ business. The Client Account Manager is expected to serve as the primary point of contact for PFSCM clients; manage personal and organizational relationships with clients in a designated portfolio, ensuring a steady flow of communication, updates, and time-sensitive responses to the end recipient as well as donors and PFSCM team members. Additionally, it is expected that the Client Account Manager manages the request through delivery process in line with organizational standard operating procedures, trouble shoots solutions when necessary, while managing the client’s expectations in full compliance with the agreed contract and/or service level agreement.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Client Account Management Unit in the implementation and ongoing development of PFSCM’s strategy and objectives to provide quality and timely service to its clients.
  • Issue and execute account plans for the designated clients.
  • Build and maintain a relationship of trust with designated clients and 3rd parties involved in the managed projects.
  • Identify opportunities with existing clients and support the business development unit in pursuing these opportunities by sharing insight in client business.
  • Work with other PFSCM team members to actively identify and analyze potential challenges and bottlenecks for client orders; develop and spearhead resolution strategies for those challenges.
  • Participate in or conduct, as required, regular meetings with the clients, donors, and other counterparts.
  • Contribute to the development of and/or generation and distribution of financial and operational project reports and other communication as required.
  • Maintain relevant account data in PFSCM’s CRM and ERP systems.
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation on order cancelation, changes, damages or other product issues is shared with the appropriate internal staff.
  • Interface with accounting/finance unit on creation of codes, confirming fund availability, and closing out accounts.
  • Assure electronic document storage for requests and orders is up to date, and maintain hard copy files where required.
  • Maintain compliance to internal quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in regular PFSCM team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, procurement, order processing, or supply chain environments, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in client relationship management, sales, procurement, or order processing.
  • Previous experience managing account processing, with proven ability to function in a detail-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of the international pharmaceutical and medical supply public sector market, with specific reference to the commodities required for HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and/or Tuberculosis prevention, treatment, and care is a plus.
  • Experience interfacing with international donor agencies and/or national health programs, or other relevant stakeholders required.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working in a developing country a plus.
  • Previous client relations or customer service experience required.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Team player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent, quality performance standards.
  • Ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce experience preferred. Experience with ERP or procurement/supply chain management software is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, plus Russian fluency preferred.
  • Willingness and availability to travel, and perform other duties as needed.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
