Senior Viral Load Specialist

Should JSI be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Mozambique. The Specialist Advisor will report to the Deputy Chief of Party: Government Support.
- Responsible for the specialized viral load/lab strengthening interventions
Oversee monitoring of patient viral loads in specified facilities and communities with the goal of achieving 90% suppression among people receiving ART
Play a key role in planning and implementation of viral load/lab strengthening activities
Participate in national technical working groups
- Travel at least 50% of the time to provide technical direction consistent with national policies and SOPs to facilities and relevant community sites
- Minimum of a medical degree or a doctoral level degree in public health or related field
At least 10 years of experience in clinical service delivery of HIV related interventions, with a focus on viral load monitoring
Strong skills in interpretation and data use and translation into policy
Demonstrated experience at a senior level participating or advising in high level MOH meetings, discussions, boards
Demonstrated ability in monitoring similar programs and interpreting and utilizing national level data
- Strong oral and written skills in Portuguese and English are required
